Trying to load MacAddict_001_1996_09.iso

Post by ggokey »

I have successfully installed Sheepshaver 5/5/2010 version on my Windows 7 64 bit machine.

I am using the Mac_OS_Rom and I installed Mac OS 8.5 from a .toast file I got from the mac garden.

I downloaded the ISO for Mac Addict #1 from the ARCHIVE using bittorrent.

I tried to mount it in the normal way (volumes tab > add > select .iso) but it came up with a message saying it was unrecognized and asking me to initialize the disk.

I then quit out and MARKED THE DISK READ ONLY. Went back in. Same thing.

Thoughts?

Hi,

I'm running the same OS, but use the latest SheepShaver. I downloaded the iso and it mounted without problems after I added it to the volumes list.
Perhaps time to update your SheepShaver program?

Best,

No issues here either.
The 635,7 MB image mounts as it should via SS GUI.

CD images also mount nicely within the emulator from the emulated HDD with: http://macintoshgarden.org/apps/virtual ... cd-utility

Maybe something went wrong with the download? You can use ISO Buster in Windows to verify that the image is intact. (Yes, ISO Buster recognizes HFS filesystems.)
