I'm curious which version of Mac OS you are trying to run on it. Also, what is your configuration? This can play a major role, as can the version number of Sheepshaver. Also, it usually spits out an error log upon crashing.

Did you run SheepShaver successfully before or is this the first time you use SheepShaver? If this is the first time you use SheepShaver:

- Which build do you use?

- Did you add the needed additional files like SheepShaverGUI.exe, SDL.dll, and ROM file ? See: http://www.emaculation.com/forum/viewto ... =20&t=5325

- And did you install a GTK +2 Runtime?

That would be an access violation. Sheepshaver is trying to access protected memory. My first idea would be put it into xp compatibility mode, then turn off your AV. If that doesn't work it would be out of my knowledge scope. This article is old but should give you the basics of what's going on: http://www.windowsbbs.com/legacy-window ... ation.html

Best of luck.

Edit: I just noticed no application version. I'm not sure if that means your copy is corrupt but it would also be worth a try to download it again if you haven't tried already.

Hi,

Such crashes are often caused by either selecting a networking option or not setting the "ignore illegal..." option in the GUI.
You can also try to disable the JIT compiler. And please try to run SheepShaver after a fresh Windows start.

Please paste the content of your sheepshaver_prefs file in your answer.

Best,
Cat_7

I put the GUI into my folder, did some fixes... and it works!
