Linux Mint 17 - 64 anyone have success

Post by kzfisher »

I've previously successfully configured SS on Mac OS X & Win (so know "how to" on configurations for SS) but I can't get SS working on Linux. I have Basilisk II working OS 8.5 but I'd like to get PPC emulation & OS 9. I've ensured install of SDL 1.2.x - I edited memory issue in config file - I tried symbolic links etc - Closest I've come to a running SS is the settings panel & that only shows in SheepShaver_44_SDL. "Start" produces nada & none of the other Linux SS versions even get me to settings panel! I am new learner to Linux but not SS so hopefully it's a newby error (system specs: OS Linux Mint 17 Xfce 64 bit - Black MacBook '08 w/Core duo 2.4 GHz - 6 GB RAM - 200 Gb SSD).

Yep, Newby error - SheepShaver is now running happily Linux Mint 17 - 64. I typed the syntax wrong in sysctl.conf file. I am using the SheeShaver_44_SDL build.
