I had to do the following to make it compile on Solaris:
Comment out the PTMX define in config.h
Comment out the 'using std::map' line in ether_unix.cpp and change “static map” to “static std::map” farther down in the file.
Enable typedefs in slirp_config.h
Other than that, it worked pretty well. I now have Mac OS 7.5.3 running inside of an emulated Mac IIci on my solaris 10/sparc system =)
Thanks and enjoy, jonathan

If you have a Solaris system, please give this a go and post your results in the Basilisk II forum. Cat_7's topic can be found here http://www.emaculation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4305

Regarding this site, SheepShaver is proving to be quite popular amongst Intel mac owners, although the other forums are a bit quite, like they have been for the last year or so. So, I made a topic to see if there is anything else that you would all like to see on E-Maculation. Read it here: http://www.emaculation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4253

Office 2001 mostly runs in SheepShaver in Vista

Just to let you know, Microsoft Office 2001 now mostly runs in SheepShaver for Windows, hosted in Vista. It may have done so from the first moment Vista was available, but who bothered to try when common knowledge was that Office, 98 or 2001, wouldn't run in SheepShaver. Were it not for our forum member ali2005, who gave Office 98 another try and somewhat succeeded! For Office 2001, things look brighter, as it runs almost perfectly, except for Excel. Take a peek here, includes screenshots.

Happy testing, Cat_7
