Why not try it and see? You can't do any harm by trying it.

Inside SheepShaver, running Mac OS 9 or whatever you're using, check the setting in the Screen or Monitor or similarly-named Control Panel.

Create a new larger disk; copy everything from the existing smaller disk into it. Remove the existing smaller disk from the system, and the system will boot from the new larger disk.

Re: Full screen scaling
Ah, yes! Interestingly, the smaller 800 x 600 still scales (though, much cleaner) while 1024 x 768 is 1:1. Regardless, much better than before. Thank you! 800x600 scales because it can be integer-scaled (exactly 2x 800 x 600 fits into your screen), while 1024x768 won't scale because it can't scale ...

If you (the original poster) are referring to the pre-built MacOS9 system downloadable from a page at www.columbia.edu, then you can find very detailed instructions on the page with the download link. (Forum rules forbid me to link to that page directly.) If you're not using that system, then ignore...

Re: Cannot boot System 7.5.3 Not enough memory was available while using
Quick question: Is there a reason to run 7.5.3 rather than 7.5.5? You can find a pre-built, self-contained, reliable (I think) system running 7.5.5 under BII, by searching Google for system761 The first page in the search results (which I can't link to here because of forum policy) includes a refere...

Re: Option request - window title
I would use this simply as a reminder that I'm running System 7.5.3 or 7.6.1. Again, I think the point is that you need to have only one build of the application, and multiple VMs, each with a different title bar. They don't need to be running at the same time. With some DOS emulators, the title bar...

Re: Option request - window title
Yes, but adespoton's suggestion would let you use the same build for multiple configurations, but each configuration could have a different string in the title bar.

I tried adding this option to kanjitalk755's code, but I'm not competent enough to do it. I too would be grateful to have this option.

Re: HFV Explorer and file type mapping
You don't need HFS+ (HFS Extended) volumes for SheepShaver. SheepShaver works perfectly well with HFS volumes.

Re: HFV Explorer and file type mapping
That is the error message you get when you try to access an HFS+ volume (not original HFS, but HFS+) from Mac OS 8.0 or earlier versions; files on the HFS+ volume will only be visible from Mac OS 8.1 or later. Does this make sense in your situation?

Re: BasiliskII for Windows
Another point: I hope you'll consider adding a link to the fix that I described in the preceding post. The instructions in the wiki won't work for a new installation unless that fix is applied. Maybe this will be sorted out in the next version of the installer, but until then, the fix is necessary.

Re: BasiliskII for Windows
Unfortunately, I can't update MSYS32 because the server reports that the PGP key is "unknown". I hope that's a temporary problem, and will try again later. Sigh! EDIT: The solution to that problem is here: https://www.msys2.org/news/#2020-06-29-new-packagers It would have been nice if the ...

Re: BasiliskII for Windows
Thank you for that - and I should have found it myself. My mistake seems to have been to have believed what it says on the MSYS2 site and downloaded and installed the 64-bit version. Will remove and start over. Thank you again!

Re: BasiliskII for Windows
Can anyone provide a step-by-step guide for building BII under Windows? Current code won't build in msys, so I've tried to build in MSYS2, without success. I've installed MSYS2 and all the build tools that seem to be necessary, but I get different errors when I run MSYS2 MSYS2 and MSYS2 MinGW32-bit....

Windows MinGW build error BasiliskII
This for kanjitalk755. I tried to build the current code in MinGW under 64-bit Windows 10 but got this error from the "make" command: ether_windows.cpp: In function 'int slirp_add_redir(const char*)': ether_windows.cpp:1716:5: error: 'inet_pton' was not declared in this scope !inet_pton(AF...

I don't know the answer to the question about the Apple Sound Manager, but you're more likely to get an answer if you start a new thread with the heading that mentions the Apple Sound Manager.

Re: Printing from BII to Windows with System 7.5.5
This isn't exactly what you're asking for, but if you search the web for macsys761installer you'll find a System 7.6.1 setup for Windows that prints to the default Windows printer. Ignore the fact that the page title refers to OS 9; you'll find a section on 7.6.1 lower on the page. Forum rules forbi...

Re: Problems saving files to Unix drive after upgrading from macOS 10.13.6 6o 10.14.6
This seems to be a problem with SimpleText, not with SimpleText files. I noticed many years ago that I couldn't save a file from SimpleText to the Unix folder - the file would simply be deleted without an error message. (I don't remember which SheepShaver version was involved, and which version of m...
