Re: Probably missing something obvious. Mounting? sharing fi
I've tried a few things, and I am unable to get anything other than the first drive to mount my current qemu.command is this: #!/bin/bash cd "$(dirname "$0")" ./qemu-system-ppc -L pc-bios -boot c -M mac99,via=pmu -m 256 \ -prom-env 'auto-boot?=true' -prom-env 'boot-args=-v' -prom...

Probably missing something obvious. Mounting? sharing files?
[Mac OS X 10.14] So I got QEMU working with a qcow2 image, but I realized a few things: • I don't know how to mount or convert a qcow2 imagine into something I can mount. • I haven't figured out how to mount other hard drives. • I can't seem to find a way to get files in and out of QEMU for working....

Re: Trying to use an old OS9 application, SS Crashes to desk
Sorry for a late reply, I've been trying to get this to work now that I have some time. I can't seem to get QEMU to recognize my image files outside of the linked qcow2 file. I also notice there doesn't seem to be a really good pipeline from getting files in and out of this emulator, like the Unix &...

Thanks for the replies, trying to get qemu working. It's not as simple as SheepShaver, heh.

Trying to use an old OS9 application, SS Crashes to desktop
So I am trying to use an old Myth II editing tool called Apathy. It's used for importing 3D models into Myth, and has no modern counter-part. My old Titanium Ibook seems to be dying, so I was looking for an alternative. I tried loading up Apathy, and it opens with the 'open' dialog, but when I selec...

Re: No sound in Dark Castle
Color Dark Castle should run fine in both Basilisk II or SheepShaver, at least in my experience.
If you are talking about this release, that is: http://deltatao.com/darkcastle/

This is how Harry sounds to me:

Aha, that's what was wrong.
Though, the sound is very choppy. I will see if I can make something of it.

Harry the Handsome Executive works for me but the music sounds horrible. Like the midi isn't playing, it's just the notes.
Anyone else have this issue?

I love you guys.
Maybe I can ask Ben Spees to make a patch that makes the fading work some other way, so it works in Sheepshaver?

Try asking at the macintosh garden perhaps, someone there might be able to point you in the right direction.

Is there any already set up versions of SheepShaver that are legal to distribute, that I could send him?Cat_7 wrote:You might want to suggest to him to run it in SheepShaver and see what happens. He must have the debugging tools available to see where things go wrong.

Re: Ferazel's Wand
Thanks for writing. It is always heartwarming to hear that people are still interested in my old games. If I knew what to change in Ferazel to make it work in SheepShaver, I would! I obviously am not in a position to port it to any modern platform as the code is truly ancient (I started working on ...

Well, it might still be worth at least asking him if he could try to run it in sheepshaver, and tell us what's wrong.
Heck, it'd be nice to see an osx update.

Re: Ferazel's Wand
Ferazel's wand has a few updates, which probably change the size of the application, perhaps use something to examine the differences, and see if you can find what relates to the filesize checker?
