SheepShaver and the Case of the Time Traveling Disks
So I've been running SheepShaver for years at this point (I believe 2011, and later transferred my disks to Windows) and at some point, I believe I transferred over my disks to my new computer, or something weird like that. Anyway, at some point, the "Date Modified" got "stuck" o...

Why can SheepShaver only open so many apps?
This happened with Basilisk too, but generally, SheepShaver can only open one or two applications, like if you quit something and reopen it, or open a different application, you tend to get a Bomb with Error 7 or Error 11 or undefined. I'm sure I'm not the only one that notices this, and it's not a ...

Re: SheepShaver for Windows
Hey, I'm trying to install it, but I'm a bit confused... How am I supposed to name the ROM file so that SheepShaver is able to find it? Anyway, ty for your help! Mac OS ROM In other news, I think that the 2013 build functions better for games (Barrack is fixed, something a previous build had major ...

Re: SS Wrapper & Modifying OS9
What I always do is select Shut Down from the Apple menu when I want to shut things down. Won't work for full screen games. An alternative is to replace the Finder with an app that, when launched, automatically shuts the guest OS down. Right, but problem with replacing the Finder with the app itsel...

Re: SS Wrapper & Modifying OS9
I've been tinkering around at trying to build self-contained packages with SheepShaver. I was going to post some of this on Mac Garden as its own topic, but I think here would be better. /// So I use SheepShaver a lot and I'm starting to want to do packages that will auto-launch and auto shut off. O...

"Carbonless Copies" by ARDI
In addition to Executor, ARDI made one other product, Carbonless Copies, which would build a full installer/application out of an existing Mac program. I use Steam these days (my MacBook recently died, or at least comatose until I can figure out exactly what's wrong with it) and was hoping to integr...

[REPORT] SimCity 2000 compatibility
I love SimCity 2000 (yes, I have a legitimate copy) but I can't play it just right in either Basilisk II or SheepShaver. SheepShaver runs it the better by far, but a few issues: - The scenarios are placed in the same folder with the game, with 18 from Atlanta to Washington DC. Normally, these load w...

Re: Classic Wrapper
Yup... and just a reminder; Apple's going to be pulling its updates (from which you can get a legit ROM) from its support site shortly (already starting to vanish from the mirrors)... of course, if you get a retail CD of 9.0.4, it'll have the ROM on it too. WHAT? When? Where? Why? What's the inform...

Re: SheepShaver only displays clock now
I have two hard drives (emulated), Alpha and Beta (based after the partitioned set-up of my grandfather's old PowerWave, I planned to make a Gamma eventually). Restoring Alpha did do something--it had the initial "Finder unexpectedly quit" on startup, then hung. That was the first crash, t...

SheepShaver only displays clock now
It used to work before. So I had SheepShaver in the background (Snow Leopard), but noticed the mouse was gone. I quit SheepShaver and reopened it. It took a while but when it was loaded, the emulated Finder unexpectedly quit and it was hanging. Since then, turning it on just loads the clock (no icon...
