Re: Raspberry Pi + SheepShaver

Hi ,
have you tried with this build ? :
https://www.novaspirit.com/?smd_process ... oad_id=558
posted on the previous page by RaspberryPhil.
It's the only one I could make work on my R-PI 3. Must be run with sudo.

Re: Raspberry Pi + SheepShaver

Thanks, Seems you have a more recent version of raspbian than me, so you have more recent versions of Gtk stuffs. I have Raspbian 8 jessie here. Kept that because the sheep_ko ethernet driver works fine with it. Anyway, I tried the trick posted on that page : export DISPLAY=:0.0 then launching Sheep...

Re: Max disk size usable in BII

KnuddMac has outlined a way forward that for some reason i totally forgot about: https://www.macip.net/ will let you run an AppleShare volume of any size on a Raspberry Pi or a pre-configured VM. You can then connect to it from BII and share the content onward. Or if you don't mind not having Mac O...

Have the exact same problem. Compiled SheepShaver on R-Pi 3B, and on launch I get : ERROR: Cannot map Low Memory Globals: Invalid argument. I did add "vm.mmap_min_addr=0" to /etc/sysctl.conf where do you enter that "addressing-mode=direct" option quoted below ? Hi there, I'm facing the exact same pr...

Re: Max disk size usable in BII

thanks ! i've just tried your 30 Gb image. The problem seems to come when sharing big volumes in 7.5.3. If I use it as it is (as you formated it), it mount and I can copy files on it, but turns off files sharing for the all system. if I format it, then I can enable file sharing for the system and sm...

Re: Max disk size usable in BII

So it's 2Tb max for PPC only. Thanks for the info. I'm stuck to 4Gb then :/ cause I can't enable sharing on the Unix volume, and that is required by NetPresenz. Edit: or, maybe try that with Sheepshaver, as it emulates PPC, maybe it would accept a 30Gb vol... Problem is building Sheepshaver building...

USB Joystick in Qemu/Mac OS 9.2.2 ?

Hi,
is there a way to make OS 9.2.2 recognize a usb joystick with Qemu ?
I tried playing one of my fav combat flight sim, Warbird 2.77, and to my surprise its very smooth and playable with the mouse. Alas my old Cyborg3D usb joystick isn’t seen by 9.2.2 :/

Bumping an old topic... As Mini vMac has the ability to compile a LocalTalk enabled version now, networking is possible (and has been for a few years)! Instructions are available here: http://www.mfort.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7 and you'll need the localtalk to TCP/IP bridge software found her...

yes, was surprised too. I tried this version on this OSX 10.6.8 machine cause i had random freezes with other versions, even doing nothing, sheepshaver would just brick itself.
So far this one seems more stable... full screen or windowed.

Only problem i've found is it mixes keyboards layouts, US keymap gives an AZERTY layout (French), and F...

Re: Anyone want to add to the Matrix?

What i would suggest then, is to put all Apple OSes + NeXT systems (was bought by Apple, so afterall, it's Apple now...), PPC and Intel ;
And for other OSes, limit them to PPC distros, meaning it could run on true PPC hardware, and if used on Mac Intel, it's true emulation of what would run on a PPC.

Re: Anyone want to add to the Matrix?

Or limit your list to only Apple made OSes…
Cause if you include all OSes capable of running on VirtualBox (or VMWare, or Parallels, VirtualPC…) on the same grid, that’s a lot, and doesn’t make it very clear what you want.
