Re: Mounting CD game discs?

Civ II not CTP - But yes. It is the PPC compatible image from Macintoshgarden that I grabbed to test things out.

Re: Mounting CD game discs?

I am about 99% sure I used the most up to date guide. It's 9.0.4 installed from an image onto a virtual 2GB drive.

So uh... should be plenty of space with 3/4 of that still available in the emulator.

Re: Mounting CD game discs?

https://i.imgur.com/9Fv1w2U.png This is the error I get no matter what I try mounting (whether copied to the virtual HD or through the virtual link to my real HDD) Is it possible to access the Sheepshaver mounting utility from within the emulator? Bit drastic to have to shut it down to mount another...

Mounting CD game discs?

Hey Y'all. Long story short : I'm trying to mount cue/bin/iso files in Sheepshaver to install and run CD based games in Sheepshaver, but so far nothing has worked. Toast Titanium throws an IO error and another app I tried gives me a "More memory required" in spite of having 512mb of RAM as...

Re: Classic Mode runs some games horribly? (Stutter and such

No kidding - Never knew Classic Mode was so "gimped". I'm so happy I decided to buy a mac with true OS9 support. Everything is running great so far - Wolfenstein is drawing properly, Call to Power is fast as heck, even titles that outright refused to work in Classic are now running great. ...

Re: Classic Mode runs some games horribly? (Stutter and such

Well colour me surprised - I actually managed to install OS9 from within Classic Mode through dumb luck. Well I guess we can call this one resolved then - Classic Mode isn't part of the so If real OS9 won't play these games properly, only a lack of extensions can be the cause. Thanks for provo...

Re: Classic Mode runs some games horribly? (Stutter and such

Equal parts old habits (I've grown used to OSX's GUI windows - Especially the fact that it opens folders within the same window and it has the nifty "minidock" on the left side of the window) ...and equal parts not having any luck actually burning a OS9 disc successfully yet. I'm currently...

Classic Mode runs some games horribly? (Stutter and such)

Resolved Hi folks. (I know Classic Mode is a little out of the discussion topics here, but I haven't found any other forum that still seems to know about OS9 and Classic Mode yet) So I finally managed to get my old 400Mhz G3 running (Harddrive was burned out - Finding an IDE drive is pretty hard ar...

Re: Creating large volumes for SheepShaver?

Funny you should mention that, but no. - I did end up buying an old G3 iMac though because SheepShaver was a bit too unstable for some of my bigger games (And that's really what I wanted it for). Had one pop up suddenly one of the local eBay style sites in near pristine condition.

Re: Creating large volumes for SheepShaver?

Regardless of the limits, the 6GB image mounts and runs just fine within my SheepShaver. I've almost filled up one copy of it with games and their disc images for mounting.

Re: Creating large volumes for SheepShaver?

I see.

Well I suppose I can just copy/paste/rename that 6GB volume of yours ad nauseum as needed. It's much better than a gigabyte when installing and mounting a game that uses more than a gigabyte all included. Thanks!

Creating large volumes for SheepShaver?

Hi folks. I'm having some trouble creating and initializing a large volume to store all of my old OS9 games on - Like say twenty gigabytes or so. I'm using the GUI to create and add volumes, but it doesn't seem to be able to make something much larger than a gigabyte - If I tell it to make a volume ...
