Re: Tiger for Intel on VMs
There's a 10.4.1 image on archive.org and it works well on vmware fusion. This image might be a cracked one for Intel Mac DTK.
Re: Upstream
Qemu 8.2 now supports emulating System 7.1-8.1 and A/UX 3.0.1.

Changing those settings for Terminal.app may work, since Unix executable files are opened with Terminal. If it doesn't, try UTM, which is an app bundle.

Cool! My System 7.6 image boots. but I can't get mouse and keyboard work, it just "hangs" there. https://i.postimg.cc/15M0h78V/B62-DF1-CA27-F74437-B94-CBCA985-ABFC01.jpg the image I made for mame pm6100, also boots on DingusPPC. https://mega.nz/file/DQ8WAJqJ#POduD-quPRvBjxAV-C70mt3H_nXlXfj...

Re: MAME Power Macintosh 6100 boots!
MAME-labeled "imperfect" machines like Mac IIvx works. Virtual memory works. But FPU emulation isn't very accurate and causes some scroll bar issues. https://i.postimg.cc/F7WNcTrf/2022-01-06-8-21-18.png The non-working machine Quadra 700 doesn't boot from SCSI hard drive or CD. MAME provid...

Re: MAME Power Macintosh 6100 boots!
MAME provides some pre-installed System 6 and System 7 images on this wiki page.
https://wiki.mamedev.org/index.php/Driver:Mac_68K
Perhaps they are made for 68K machines.

MAME Power Macintosh 6100 boots!
Tried to emulate Power Macintosh 6100 with MAME 0.239. The pre-installed System 7.6.1 CHD image does not support PowerPC Macs. Floppy images has to be set read only or you'll be greeted with "Fatal error: floppy dma write". System 7.1.2 and System 7.5 floppies throw a boom on startup. Luck...

An emulator focusing on accurate Mac emulation?
I'm looking forward to an emulator that emulates oldworld Macs accurately. Both SheepShaver and Basilisk II are good. But they lack precise cpu speed emulation and scsi, which are supported by pce-macplus. Also, they both lack an emulated MMU. Pce-macplus is great except for its emulating 68000 Macs...

Also, you can create an ISO image and put your file into it. Then mount it on PearPC.

Hi Cat_7, could you tell me which source or patches you used on the experimental builds?
I'd like to compile one on Linux.

Re: GSOC qemu Boot Mac OS >= 8.5 on PowerPC system
Tested with a clean Qemu 2.9 build on my desktop PC running 64-bit Linux.
It really depends on the speed of the host machine. It runs faster on a i3-7100(@3.9GHz) CPU.
Still, FPU performance hits a plateau.

Re: Strange Fusion issue
You'd better quit to DOS and run FUSION. Check config.sys and don't load EMM386.exe.
If you're using PCI sound card that emulates a SoundBlaster card, load the driver first.
Here's two universal device driver: OAKCDROM for IDE CDROMs and CTMOUSE for PS/2 and Serial mouses.

Re: T22 the "Macintosh"
Thanks for sharing your pictures! I always liked the way FusionPC does handle the MacOS. Compatible hardware is becoming somewhat rare meanwhile. Yes, I like that too. Also, I heard that some Mac apps and games can only been emulated correctly under FUSHION or SoftMac. As most of modern PCs are sti...

T22 the "Macintosh"
I got an old IBM ThinkPad T22 laptop with Pentium III 900 that was able to use sound card on DOS... So I got FUSION run on that machine. To my surprise, it runs pretty fast. https://s14.postimg.org/xinwb7s9p/IMG_20170324_141127.jpg https://s14.postimg.org/4uay7zq3h/IMG_20170324_141434.jpg

There's another emulator that have the Voodoo 2 emulation. It's PCem that implement Voodoo/Voodoo 2 emulation on register level.
And, the Voodoo 2 Macintosh drivers can be found here: http://falconfly.de/voodoo2.htm

Well, it works pretty fast(at least faster than Qemu). It took me one hour or so to install the same os, further more, the disk image was NTFS compressed. My laptop uses an Ivy Bridge i3 processor.

KVM does not run on a Windows host.
Also, it needs a POWER or PPC host 'coz KVM uses the virtualization techonology.

What do you mean with resize/streching? The size of the window can be set by using for example -g 1024x768x32 or another desired window size. The yellow openbios window always starts with size 640x480. But you can press ctrl-alt-u to set the initial yellow window to the size you speficied. The same...

Re: GSOC qemu Boot Mac OS >= 8.5 on PowerPC system
The Pi Zero might run Mac OS 9 slightly less than OK (in comparison to the Power Mac G3/300), though you might have to set the memory to 128 MB at most. OS X might run, but it would be very slow. You can compile from 2.7's branch onward. As for OpenBIOS, can't help you much there. Thanks for your a...
