Re: Issues with sound and networking on OSX 108.5
Which SheepShaver build do you use? On OSX 10.8 (Mountain Lion) you should use the 4 May 2019 build. Which Mac OS version did you install in SheepShaver? The "Sound" control panel may be in a different location with some other than Mac OS 9 versions. Which network applications did you use...

Issues with sound and networking on OSX 108.5
I have the 2.5 version of Sheepshaver running fine on my OSX 10.8.5 host OS except the sound and networking aren't working. For the sound I have the default device entries but I don't get any sound and in the control panel it doesn't list any audio devices for me to choose. For the networking I put ...

New FREE FirstClass server for classic Macs
Hello! I have asked before for testers, but I think I am ready to go full-on with people on my FirstClass server. I'm looking for people willing to work with me on testing it out. If you have a classic (3.5.x) version of the FirstClass client you can connect to my server and access the 100gb+ files ...

Incoming connections crash Basilisk using "redir" forwarding on Linux
As it says, Basilisk crashes when a incoming connection occurs on the internet side. If I connect with the client to "localhost" it works fine and doesn't crash. If I telnet to say port 510, 8080, etc or try and connect with a client on another host it crashes. I'm using the forwarding fea...

Just noticed this in the shell where I was starting BII:
Where do I get /dev/sheep_net?

Re: Need Help Getting On iCab in Basilisk
Sorry to bring this up again, but the previous solutions don't work for me. I am trying to run Basilisk II on a Ubuntu 20.04 server and everything seems OK other than the networking. When I try and use iCab every site I try gets the "Network Error -23045" error. This is a dedicated server ...

Re: Help getting BII running on Ubuntu
In that image you can see that the "System" folder has the two-face marker on it so it should be bootable, right? If I remove the 8.1 volume it doesn't boot. Can you point me to steps on creating a bootable volume? I can try it from scratch...

Re: Help getting BII running on Ubuntu
By not working I mean that when it is the only bootable volume i just get the blinking question mark mac icon. The "Mac OS 8.1" volume is the one I installed from but is listed in the last position of the volumes I'm mounting at boot.

Re: Help getting BII running on Ubuntu
Thanks! Disabling the JIT compiler lets it start up. But it is using the MacOS8.1 volume as the boot volume and not the HD image I created. I formatted that volume and copied a system folder to it but when I try to boot from that image I just get the question-mark Mac icon... How do I make the volum...

Re: Help getting BII running on Ubuntu
BTW I tried compiling a version of my own and that had the issue displayed above, just like the one I downloaded and had no compile-time errors. Am I supposed to just be able to run ./BasiliskII and get a GUI like I do for SheepShaver?
