bcraig7998, man, I should admit that you're saying really weird shit here :) Especially about dx9 and a/v recievers, not to mention running two copies of PearPC on a rather pathetic hardware in parallel, getting some decent results out of it somehow :)

I know it was fixed some time ago. But CVS builds from, say, week ago were still broken, and I wasn't aware of current situation in this field ;) Anyway, your result seems to be very far from reality :)

And this suggests that benchmarking of emulators with a synthetic software benchmarks is irrelevant, especially if you're trying to benchmark some build with a broken timer which tends to run at 10x speed. Use a stopwatch :)

Besides Open Firmware stuff, I believe OS 9 requires MMU (memory management unit) support which is very difficult to code and would slow down the emulation dramatically. A PPC virtual machine like Mac-On-Linux can run Mac OS 9 as MOL has a virtual MMU. Jim, I don't know what kind of herbs you're sm...

You can't. PearPC has no real USB support.

Just tried setting computer sleep to 3 minutes - and it crashed much quicker than ever :) So it's better to turn off any power saving options in Energy Saver.

well the new 0.11 version boots fine but totally crash after 10 min of having booted
0.1 also crashed after some time being idle. I think it's something like a side effects of unimplemented power saving features of The Real Thing(tm).

1. Download PearPC from http://pearpc.sourceforge.net/, unpack it to c:\ppc\ 2. Download Bochs 2.1.1 from http://bochs.sourceforge.net/ or use this direct link - http://heanet.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/bochs/Bochs-2.1.1.exe and install it. 2. Go to the Bochs installation folder (by default, it'...

Yeah, I got this error too at my first attempt :) After some fiddling around I tried setting prom_env_machargs to "" instead of "-v" - and it strangely worked ok :)

I'm trying to figure out PearPC won't let me install to the 6GB image. I've got 10.3 to the install screen, used Disk Utility to partition and format, but for some reason, I can't select the drive to install to. Try rebooting installer after partitioning and formatting. And, as unrelated story, I r...

It's better to try BlindWrite with "ISO Image" profile. It worked well for me.

I have used bximage.exe from Bochs 2.1.1 to create a hd image, and partitioned/formatted it using a Disk Utility from OS X installer. I must admit that I created one partition before formatting a drive, and rebooted the emulator after formatting.

No, but I have already set prom_bootmethod to "select", and just picked my hard drive image as boot partition on next boot after installation.
