Re: Tomb Raider III crashes SheepShaver
TRIII from Macintoshgarden crashes on my side just the same. Mojave 10.14.6, SheepShaver 2.5, MacOS 8.6 or 9.0.4. http://macintoshgarden.org/games/tomb-raider-iii The good news, the game is running with Qemu: Experimental build with screamer audio and altivec support. Lets hope that this will work o...

Re: SheepShaver cannot open CDs
Is it possible for you to mount other CD images via SheepShaver´s "Volumes" tab?
Maybe try a random file from Macintoshgarden, e.g. http://macintoshgarden.org/games/top-gun
The toast images do mount on my side fine with 10.4.6.

Are you looking for Tiger 10.4.7 Server Universal, simplemac?
If so, please look here at #6: http://macintoshgarden.org/apps/mac-os-server-104

Re: Conflict: existing GTK+ installation and existing Cairo
IIRC Basilisk II Build 142 is running self content, no extra installations needed and with GUI.
The downside is the pop up error about missing CD-ROM support and you can not access Mac CDs on a 64bit Windows.
However, Mac HD floppies can be written with Build 142 via USB floppy.

Re: Struggling to install a SDL file on Sheepshaver
As you already found out, there is no Classic app of the game on CD. From the ReadMe: Installing from CD -------------------- OS X: ----- * Install SDL by copying SDL-1.2.X.pkg.tar.gz to your hard drive. Now double click on it to decompress it. Now double click on the resulting SDL.pkg file and the ...

IIRC the (default) speed setting and many other options have to be specified at compilation time of the app.
I you wish, you may try building the depreciated version 3.5X yourself.

Re: Internetconfig is not properly installed
Maybe try the 7.5.3 disk image here for PoG: http://macintoshgarden.org/apps/macos-753-emulators (First DL) As 7.6 did run the game from CD image fine on my side, 7.5.3 should do too. The boot disk mentioned above is only the bare System, not much else besides the 7.5.3 installer files. A fresh MacO...

Re: Internetconfig is not properly installed
Thanks Ronald!
Silly me, did not read that the OP is using a Mac.
In that case, unstuffing .sit with The Unarchiver is the best advice, probably.
Also adding a .toast file to the volumes tab should be no issue.

Re: Internetconfig is not properly installed
I´m uploading a ISO.zip to my ISP´s Cloud.
The file is made from the toast.sit at Macintoshgarden.
Inflating can be done by any ZIP app on Windows.
The ISO should be mountable via SheepShaver´s volumes tab without issues.
Feel free to try: https://www.magentacloud.de/lnk/vbGUl9zw

Re: SheepShaver & Bad day on the Midway
Maybe a long shot, but you might try Qemu MacOS 9.2 instead of SheepShaver. From a short look, the intro animation plays on my side and no white screens appear when moving. The QTVR scrolls more or less fluently instead. Sound may be an issue with Qemu, but the Screamer build with Altivec is worth a...

Re: Internetconfig is not properly installed
So you could expand the pog.sit to Pillars of Garendall.toast and got the CD image mounted? If yes, you might try running the game with a MacOS 7.6 instance. The OldWorldROM will be needed for SheepShaver with 7.6. I could get into the intro without crash that way, the game crashes on 8.6 on my side...

Did you try MTT´s workaround installing from the MacOS 9.1 disk image already?

No problem, here is a zipped img of the complete WB folder:

Otherwise, you may mount your ISO image with Basilisk MacOS 8.1, if need should be.

Re: Uncompressed Files?
The ISO you made is readable fine on my side with Mojave. Thanks for sharing! As you will notice, the ISO holds a HFS Extended container, so it will be useless with MacOS lower than 8.0. If you wish, I´ll upload the Ryan Dow part or the WB folder to a Macintoshgarden page as img.sit. Someone else sh...

@ mandybemulating: Could you eventually upload the ISO created with IMGBurn to MEGA or similar? Given that IMGBurn finished its job without error you should have gotten something usable (hopefully). Re: Uncompressed Files?
A Mac HFS CD did never mount in Windows, as the file system is unknown in Windows. The same is true for ISO images of Mac HFS CDs. If your CD is not HFS but ISO 9660, Windows, MacOS and Unix should read it. Hard to tell what the creator of the CD has had in mind when burning the files to CD. ;) If y...

Re: Uncompressed Files?
ISO is fine.
I would recommend IMGBurn for Windows, if you are on Windows.
http://macintoshgarden.org/apps/imgburn-250
On a side note, Basilisk II Build 142 does read Mac CDs oob, given you have a Windows 32bit host around.
SheepShaver on 64bit Windows got this feature added again too, some time ago.

You may grab the zipped ISO here any time: https://www.magentacloud.de/lnk/gKYMpP89
The zipping is done by macOS, so you will see some useless files with Windows, as usual.
I may have the original CD in storage still.
If you are located in the EU, I can send it by snail mail, if you wish.

I don´t think fogWraith would mind, as storage capacity is not an issue atm.

Re: app can't run on pc
Which version did you move to your new PC? Build 142 should work after a move, given all paths are still the same. (which they are not, usually) Newer Basilisk builds will at least need the GTK runtime installation. Some pristine W10 installations may need additional (old) frameworks being installed...

Would you mind checking which of your gems are already available at Macintoshgarden?
Of course all missing things would be much appreciated!
