Re: 10.4.11 iso?
That means qemu hasn't found all information on the image it needs to boot. This happens when the CD image was not created from the full CD but from a partition on the CD.
You just have to search for an image that does include that info.

Re: Trouble with Qemu Guide
You downloaded a version of Mac OS 9.2 that only contains an upgrade?
If Qemu booted from the CD image, why don´t you just try to install?
Please note that you have use the disk utility program on the CD first to partition the new hard disk image before you can install on it.

Nothing is needed in front of the program name in the bat file in windows. The qemu-system-ppc.exe program should be in the same folder as all the dll files, the pc-bios folder and the 2 disk images Is it there and does it have exactly that name? Or did you download the screamer version? Does that p...

If you encounter any specific errors about missing software, you probably need to install the corresponding development packages.

Re: Qemu Portability
All our builds are portable to the point that your host system no longer provides certain common code that Qemu relies on. This will eventually happen, whether on Windows or Mac OS. This is also the reason why our builds made on certain hosts cannot be run on older hosts. They assume things that are...

The virtio-vga driver allows you to resize the qemu window, after which the resolution is adjusted to the new size

Check the network control panel. It should say you are connected and should have gotten ip address 10.0.2.15

Hi,
Yes, the menu bar issue on Sonoma is known and a fix will be available in the next build we provide.
If qemu-img will not work, you can always copy a working disk image to the Catalina machine (provided Qemu itself will run on Catalina).

I'm not quite sure what is the cause of this. If it is due to qemu being built on a newer macOS version, you might try to download the oldest version we offer into a separate folder and see whether qemu-img works from there.

The -g option only sets the size of the openbios window. Subsequent choices made in the monitors control panel in Mac OS are saved in the Mac OS monitors prefs. Mac OS will boot into the last resolution set.
Do you not have a wide choice of resolutions available in the control panel?

Hi, Cd and dvd images are notorious for not being complete copies of the media. If you encounter an incomplete one, boot will fail. To my knowledge there is no 10.4.11 image, so you need to apply the update. You might get lucky with the dmg as qemu can read uncompressed ones. To try add the dmg as a...

Sure you can run this on Linux. But you can't attempt this on the screamer code (so no audio), as both require a different openbios. Download the qemu-virtio-gpu.patch from: https://github.com/elliotnunn/classicvirtio/tree/main/patches Download qemu and patch it: git clone https://gitlab.com/qemu-pr...
