Cat, the SDL version did it for me, thats really great!
Many many thanks!
So fullscreen should be possible with SS too, at last.
Greetings!

Yes
Oh sure, everything is tried out and true, I am not telling tales:-)
When you make a clean OS8 install for SheepShaver, the image will run with BII as well.
The same is working with 7.6 as well, exept for some Quicktime system extensions.
I just found time to play a little.

BasiliskII monitor resolution
Hi, first of all, BII like SS, is performing just splendid, thanks to Cat7, who made the latest builds! I only wonder wether somebody has found a way to run BII with other than the preset monitor resolutions. When I type in custom values in the GUI, BII defaults to a 640 by 480 b/w screen. Obviously...

9.0
OS9.0 is behaving very neat with my Linux64bit host system. All resolutions are working and are "remembered" by the Mac. Did you make a clean install or did you find it somewhere on the net? If you do the istallation with the old world ROM, the voume starts with both, old- and new- world R...

Monitors control panel
Hi,
Did you set your resoution in the Mac control panel as well?
It seems, that the Mac defaults to some resolution, until you set it in the Monitor+Sound (Monitore und Ton) control panel
to your desired bigger resolution.
By the way, do you have sound with your emulation in Win7?
Best wishes!

create a Mac HD
Well, basically, I think you will have to create a reasonable big hardfile for BII and copy all the smi's to it. You should be able to create a image in the Linux GUI easily. Select Volumes, Create.., and type in the dsired MB's e.g. 500. At startup, the Mac asks, if the new volume should be initial...

OK
Pretty discriptive, but I seem to miss the DOS commands like CHDMAN and even MESS, don't know why.
I'll take a look at the downloadable files.
Anyway one needs PATIENCE to run a Mac emulation with MESS.
Best wishes!

Hi ClockWise,
that sounds interesting. Do you know how the .hd files for MESS should be created?
Did you manage to run the LC emulation?

Copy it?
Hi, I don't know your game, but some Mac install routines with a couple of disks were working as well, if all disk images or data files resided in the same folder. Did you try to copy all your CD's data to a single IMG or DSK file and start it from there? Most likely, the solution will not be that e...

Nice to hear, you made it.
Do try BasiliskII as well, a good possibility to run System7 games on a Motorola 680XX platform in colour.
(Not to mention lots of old programs, of course)
Best wishes!

Hi,
I cant see any problem to run it. Did you create a reasonable big IMG file, and did you install OS 6.08 on it properly?
Grettings!

Does nothing
Hello Cat7,
lots of thanks for your Linux version.
As for me, your release does just nothing on my Suse_Linux64 and EeeBuntu3.0 host systems.
Your old version works fine, but no fullscreen.
What a pity!

Some notes only
Mac OS8: A good universal startup disk for BasiliskII and SheepShaver is Mac OS 8.1. If you can find a copy of the OS8 disk from 1997 you will be able to set up a Mac volume that wil run both with emulations. SheepShaver is pretty fast with 8.1 too. You will, of course need a 4MB "old world&quo...

3.6 is free
Well, what about Stuffit Lite 3.6?
That one is free, works with OS 7.6, 8.1, 8.6 and 9.04 on my host systems.
If you wish I will mail you a copy, or you might ask clockwise to host it
somewhere in the forum.
Greetings!
P.S IMG files work very well to, but you will need a real Mac to read them .-)

Nanosaur 1.0 was definately released as freeware, but it asks for a MPC 603 or better.
So it is useless for SheepShaver.

Hello Lost Soul, do you have any objects against using the latest version of BII, that Cat7 posted? With the newer BII, there are only two emulated machines running with the same 1MB ROM: MacIIci will only run OS 7.X Quadra900 will only run OS 8.0. I guess you will hardly need more. Both BII and SS ...

Hello, so you are keeping even more old computer material than I do, cool! I gave away my Amiga, MacII, Quadra and Centris when we moved from Konstanz, but at least I did some people a favour. W2K just the same
No surprise, WIN2000 SP4 does the same job. I still run W2K with my old P3. AppleCD audio is running perfectly. Maybe some people can grab a copy of W2K and dedicate a small partition to it, just for SS and for compatibilty's sake. If anyone would like to do so, the "Gnome Partition Editor"...
