Strange card game error
Is there anybody playing the game "Card Shell" made by Ralph Sutherland in 1992? I am observing a strange problem with the Republic game. In BII the game is unsolveable because the cards contain three kings of spades and a ten of crosses is missing. This is occurring with WinXP and Linux h...

Dust off my Yamaha
Hi Mike,
many thanks for your message.
I see your point with USB 1.1, I thought it might be worth thinking about it.
So I'll better dust off my old Yamaha SCSI toaster.
Greetings!

Mac Classic USB burning?
Hello, I would like to know, wether anyone is aware of a disk burning utiliy for the Mac Classic OS that would process media in an USB toaster, such as a Samsung SE-S084. If that software should be free or abandonare it would be perfect. I know Apple's Disk Burner and Adaptec Toast 3.5, but those lo...

Hi Cat7, thanks a lot for your splendid work! The files you included will be very helpful for beginners. Perhaps you might include a keycodes file as well. One would only need a Mac-OS image to get things going. Those may be found searching the web for "macgeek417 uni.cc" for a 7.52 system...

SCSI (again)
Hi madcrow,
I have no idea about the source code, but I am very fond of this version for Suse_Linux: SheepShaver-2.3-0.20060514.1.x86_64.
Did you take a look at the SCSI gui?
Do you have an idea how to dedicate hfs volumes to the emulation?
Gretings!

Another operating system?
Hi doozer,
what a pity having so much problems!
Do you have sufficient free disk space to give Linux a try?
I found that BII (and SheepShaver) running pretty fast and stable with JIT compiler
in a Suse-Linux host system.
Best wishes!

Hello Cat7, many thanks! A friend of mine just told me to look here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=806800&page=2 where dagnabit dang doohickey posted a more modern keycodes flile. With that file the keycodes are trasferred without fault. I didn't imagine the solution to be that simple...

Hello, I am needing some help with the keycode translation file. I am running both BasiliskII and Sheepshaver on the same harware in a WinXP and a Linux-64bit host system. Hi Clockwise,
I tried CopyROM on my two PPCs and earned a 4MB file good for nothing.
GetRom creates some 2MB files of the same category.

Year 2013 bug?
Hello everyone, the current problems of the german giro-pay system reminded me of one almost forgotten problem. Do you remember the Y2K bug with a lot of common computer systems? Us Mac users could lean back and grin "Not my problem". BUT as far as I can remember there was a saying in late...

To whom it may concern
By trial and error I found BasiliskII build 94 to be able to use hfs volumes. If the device is not mounted by Windows it can be used via the GUI: SCSI and the ADD button. If the device was mounted by Windows it can be used by selecting the drive's letter (e.g. F:) in the GUI: DISK. Things are workin...

MacII
This would be really perfect if someone could
compile a version of BasiliskII using 24bit
adressing mode for a MacII ROM with sound support!
On the other hand there is MiniVMacII in development
with some features already working, so it will
certainly be worth waiting for it.

Hi,
I am afraid, I somehow mixed up things.
I am using Illustrator_8 and Freehand_7
with SheepShaver. The PowerMac version
of FH7 is installed.
So I can't say anything about Freehand 8.
Yours.

Hello Cat7, thanks for the clever suggestion. I tried to de-activate my magneto-optical in Windows disk-properties dialog and it vanishes from desktop all right. The device is "seen" as a SCSI-thing by Gemexplorer and not as a DOS-volume, but it won't mount in BasiliskII and when i put in ...

Hello ClockWise, what a beautiful idea! You could distribute your project as an iso file and one could integrate it with the boot manager or put it on a stick and had a really "portable" Macintosh. You may know the Official GParted LiveCD for booting the (very useful) Gnome-Partition-Manag...

Hi prowler, nice to hear that it was that simple easy going. That is what one would expect it to be.
