Re: Mouse & Shared folder
I’m aware it wouldn’t change functionality. But that’s perfect as is, your app is doing a great job. It just would be nice to have it load during boot. Sample code I found (other than what adespoton already found earlier): https://www.ccs.neu.edu/home/futrelle/teaching/com1370sm98/graphics-sampler.h...

You could mount the entire SSD or a partition of it at ~/Library/Containers/UTM/Data/Documents.

SS source indicates the following options: SHEEPNET ETHERTAP TUNTAP SLIRP VDE VDE has been added here: https://github.com/kanjitalk755/macemu/commits?author=Sharq7 but it seems it has to be compiled in using the --with-vdeplug switch. I have developed an application for mouse integration between QEMU and Mac OS 9. https://github.com/kanjitalk755/macos9-usb-tablet/releases Expand USBTablet.sit and move to System Folder -> Startup Items. Append "-device usb-tablet" instead of "-device usb-mouse" to argument of ...

Cat_7,
Thanks again for posting this experimental build. I just set up a guest system using it and it does a perfect job in “AppleTalking”!

Re: USB to Ethernet adapter w/ MacOS 9 in QEMU?
The tuntaposx issue can be solved by using the vmnet option available in the latest macOS versions. We have an experimental build available with that functionality. See here under experimental builds (second post on the page): https://www.emaculation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8848 Wow, thank you – ...

USB to Ethernet adapter w/ MacOS 9 in QEMU?
On a macOS host, I was wondering whether it would be possible to have QEMU directly access a USB network adapter providing Mac OS 9 with low layer Ethernet access in order to run AppleTalk via DDP. There seem to be USB adapters that work plug-and-play in OS 9. But how far developed is QEMU in regard...

Re: Printing to PDF with Claris CAD...
Good you found a solution! I figured that I made a mistake in the way I added the paper sizes to the PPD. I just fixed that and uploaded a new version of “AcrobatDistiller5Arch.ppd.sit” to https://c.web.de/@337526389169198226/YiqlWrk6RTOdXaxP0sxWmw . Just for completeness I’m adding screen shots of ...

Re: Printing to PDF with Claris CAD...
I’ve also added E1, E2, and E3 sizes.
Please find the file “AcrobatDistiller5Arch.ppd.sit” at https://c.web.de/@337526389169198226/Yi ... XaxP0sxWmw , extract it and put it in “System Folder > Extensions > Printer Descriptions”.
It should then be listed in Desktop Printer Utility.

Re: Printing to PDF with Claris CAD...
I had in mind using an Adobe Acrobat PPD from that time and add whatever sizes are needed. It doesn’t have any margins and is intended for printing to file, so doesn’t use much printer specific stuff. But it didn’t contain many sizes back then and I’m not sure what else you need apart from E4. When ...

Re: Printing to PDF with Claris CAD...
emendelson’s answer sounds like the best solution to me. However, after creating the desktop printer, E4 probably won’t be among the sizes listed and I’m not sure whether you’ll be able to enter a custom page size. If you’re not, check what sizes, next to E4, are missing for you and let me know. I c...

Re: Kernel panic after converting VM from Parallels to VirtualBox
I’m gonna try that, thanks. But I figured that VirtualBox is using “VBOX HARDDISK” as HDD model name which I found in /src/VBox/Devices/Storage/DevAHCI.cpp in the source available at https://github.com/mdaniel/virtualbox-org-svn-vbox-trunk. I’ll substitute that for “Snow Leopard Server-0” in a local...

Re: Kernel panic after converting VM from Parallels to VirtualBox
Thanks for your response adespoton. The thing is that I run an app in SL Server whose protection management software ties the license activation to the model name of the system disk. I’ve installed this app in the VM years ago on a host system installed on an HDD. I have moved it on through updates ...

Shall I then go ahead and acquire an AppleTalk-2-Ethernet bridge? Can you give me some advice on this? There are a number of such bridges listed here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LocalTalk-to-Ethernet_bridge You can find used ones on eBay but the more rare they get, the more expensive they are. A...

Kernel panic after converting VM from Parallels to VirtualBox
A very off topic question for the experts here: After converting a Parallels Snow Leopard Server VM to VirtualBox, when trying to boot it I get panic(cpu 0 caller 0x2abf6a): Kernel trap at 0x42c84980, type 6=invalid opcode, registers: CR0: 0xc001003b, CR2: 0x42bdd000, CR3: 0x00100000, CR4: 0x0004066...

With the new Deark option it would be better to remove the repeat loop. I realised that the way it is now was a quick “fix” by me. It works but doesn’t really make sense logically. I’ll be gone for a few days now but should be able to have a look into it somewhere next week. Here we go. Substitute ...

Re: Copying pictures
I'm glad this got sorted out. As far as Ronald is concerned it is. But changing the app’s name still doesn’t do anything for me. Both of the apps in your renewed download show the preview now. Setting the script to false in the editable one and starting it with the option key after adding “Key” to ...
