I am trying to get an old piece of software called Reunion 5 to work - the manual says it works on system 7.0 or newer.
The executable binary is named 'Reunion 5' and the first bytes are Joy!peffpwpc - I looked it up and it's a PEF format file.
I got Sheepsaver working, used HFVExplorer to put the Reunion software on a disk image, and looked at it with macOS versions 7.5.3, 8.6, and 9.0.4.
In any version, if I try to open the program, I get an error like this: Screenshot
Any ideas of how to run this old program would be greatly appreciated!
How to run an old program (PEF format)?

Looks like a lost resource fork of the app Reunion 5.
Could you share a link with the original .sit file maybe?

Re: How to run an old program (PEF format)?
Looks like ALL the Reunion files are missing their resource forks there. Reunion requires a bunch of helper files that contain resource forks in order to run, otherwise it quits with an error -- so make sure you've got a clean install.
I found I needed to run the installer in order to get everything in the correct place; copying files over from an older computer resulted in me missing some support libraries hidden somewhere on the system.

I have original discs for Reunion 8 and 9, but not 5.
