OS 8.1 Corrupting Sys 6.0.8
I have Mac OS 8.1 installed in Basilisk II and System 6.0.8 in Mini vMac, but after I mount the System 6 disk image under OS 8.1 to transfer some files, System 6 won't boot under Mini vMac anymore, all I get is the disk image with the flashing X. Even if I mount the image and don't transfer any files, it happens. I never had this problem with System 7.5, before I upgraded to 8.1.
New desktop file
Hi,
I am experiencing the same behaviour when mounting MiniVMac boot disks in Basilisk-OS8.
Apparently a new desktop file is created by OS8, beeing incompatible with MiniVMac.
Still I am able to mount that disk image in MiniVMac, copy my files
to another disk, format the corrupted one and copy files back.
To do this I am booting MiniVMac with another system6 disk.
My MiniVMac disk image is a 40MB.img done with disk copy 6.2.
Maybe you should not mount your MiniVMac system disk in Basilisk-OS8.
What about reporting that bug to the autor?
Best wishes!

Perfectly right
I' absolutely unsure if that may even be called a "bug".
Sorry about that.
In real world macs, one would hardly find a machine booting 6.08 and 8.01.
About that copying issue: You can mount OS8 images with MiniVMac.
