Not too sure what is wrong with Sheepshaver at Startup

I am having musch trouble with Sheepshaver at startup

Someone tried setting up Sheepshaver for me but lost interest in the task and now I - a complete neophyte - have to get it to operate.

Things were going really well for a while but I was unable to print any file from within the emulated Classic environment.

In trying to rectify this problem I must have done something very silly because now when I start up Sheepshaver, the Desktop no longer boots up and all I get is an icon of a floppy disk with a cross (X) that flashes on and off. Does anyone know what this might mean and how I can restore the original look of the desktop?

Thank you for your time,

Ric Lombardo (or ricl for short)

(Printing from within SheepShaver is not simply possible, it requires a separate setup.)
You probably made changes to settings that caused SheepShaver to loose track of the startup disk image.
1. On which host system (Windows or OX/macOS) are you running SheepShaver, and which version is that?
2. Which version or build (date!) of SheepShaver are you running?

Depending on whether you are using Windows or the Mac, search the web for

Mac OS 9 for Windows

or

Mac OS 9 for OSX/macOS

You will find an already-installed system that lets you print from SheepShaver.
