SheepShaver & High Sierra : Not OK !!
Posted: Wed Sep 18, 2019 6:07 pm
Hello,
Please excuse the quality of my English, but it is not my mother tongue.
Or the one I use most easily (I'm French!).
I followed your instructions, Ronald, to install SheepShaver on my iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2009) with Mac OS X 10.13.6 (17G8030), but it doesn't work!
In my desktop, I have two files:
• one named "Shared", who is empty
• one named "SheepShaver", which contains
--> a disk image of OS 9: "Mac_OS_9.0.4.toast"
--> your different files (Build history / keycodes / Mac OS ROM / Setup Manual / SheepShaver / SheepShaver scripts)
--> SheepShaver is from the zip archive "SheepShaver_2.5_20190504.zip".
When I first open the SheepShaver software with a right-click, I confirm my request and OS X asks me to enter the Administrator IDs.
SheepShaver leaves and nothing happens.
If I open SheepShaver again, nothing happens.
With the Terminal, I can delete the invisible files ".sheepshaver_prefs" and ".sheepshaver_nvram" (obtained with the unix command "ls -altr" in my Home folder).
But that doesn't change my problem.
What should I do
Thank you in advance.
