Trouble with making new virtual harddrive on Sheepshaver

Post by BillH »

Hi! I created a new virtual hard driver in Sheepshaver with preferences, but when I mount it, my shared Unix folder disappears  ! Can anybody help me with this problem? Thanks!

This kind of anomaly can happen when you do not quit SheepShaver after saving changes in preferences. After you created the new hard drive in preferences, did you save the change and quit (shut down) SheepShaver?

Tried your suggestion, quit Sheepshaver immediately after saving the new drive, and it worked like a charm! All drives now show up! Thanks so much for your suggestion!!!!

It is at the very beginning of our setup manual:
Changing settings: After saving changes in preferences, always quit the SheepShaver application, shut down the emulated machine, and launch SheepShaver again. Only then will the changes take effect, after only a restart of the emulated machine new settings will not be used.
