cdenable.sys missing!

Post by MACOS9-10 »

  I am Running Windows XP Pro SP3 :???: and when I try to start the application it gives me an error saying "The CD-ROM driver file "C:WINDOWS\system32\drivers\cdenable.sys" is missing, and then sometimes, IT WILL RANDOMLY CRASH MY PC!!!! :!: Could someone spread some light on the situation? Any help would be appreciated.

With Windows XP, please copy or move cdenable.sys from your Basilisk II sub-folder "CD-ROM drivers"
to the place specified in the requester C:WINDOWS\system32\drivers\
Thats all. If you have an optical drive attached, you can now read Mac HFS CDs from within Basilisk II.
Also booting from a Mac System CD (7.0 to 8.1) should work now.

Cryptic error.
Admin rights will be needed to move or copy the file.
What happens when dragging it to the new place with right mouse button pressed?
