Ethernet Driver Not Recognized

Post by thevisualboy37 »

Hi all,

I'm trying to install the Basilisk II Ethernet driver (included with SheepShaver), as documented here: https://www.emaculation.com/doku.php/ap ... er_windows

However, when I try point it to B2Win2k.inf, I see "(Unable to find any drivers for this device)" in the "Select Network Protocol" dialog box.

SheepShaver version: 9/27/2020
OS: Windows 10 Pro Build 1909
Hardware: Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller

I am following the steps exactly as listed; I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Is this driver incompatible with Windows 10? I don't see anything about compatibility on the Wiki article, and I can't find any other posts about this topic.

What, if anything, am I doing wrong? Please help!

Hi,

The driver mentioned is not maintained and not signed, so it is not advisable to use it in Windows 10. It is also not included in our current SheepShaver downloads. I will add a note to that old guide.
Instead you can take a look at our guide for alternative ways to network SheepShaver here:
