Sound and SCSI

Post by 24bit »

Hello SheepShaver community,

1.)did anyone already manage to get sound output from SheepShaver?
I my case I'm only seeing a flashing menue bar in the monitor and
sound control panel. (Please see my "photoshop crashes" post for my
system's configuration).

2.)is it possible to dedicate real hfs SCSI volumes to SheepShaver?
I have installed an SCSI host adapter of course, for WinXP.

If someone had an advice I would be happy to hear about it.
Greetings!

1. You need to select "Built-in" for the output device in "Sound" control panel.
(Note that in MacOS 8.5/8.6 the Sound control panel is installed in the “Apple Extras” folder.)

And if the “Apple Audio Extension” happens to be installed in the Extensions folder, remove it.

2. Can't you access those volumes through the "My Computer" icon on the SheepShaver desktop? I have no experience with SheepShaver on Windows. Maybe someone who has, can answer this.
