System 7.1.2???

The Emaculation wiki page says SheepShaver supports MacOS down to v7.5.2. If it can emulate 7.52, will it do 7.1.2? After all system 7.1 is just a worse version of system 7.5.
*For those who don't know, sys 7.12 was the very first PowerPC version*

Considering I've been running 7.1.2 on SheepShaver for years,

Yes :)

However, while it runs, it does have a few glitches here and there. The biggest headache was figuring out which system enabler/rom pair worked IIRC.

If you need more info, let me know and I'll try to make some time to dig into my 7.1.2 config and see how I did it.

Adespoton, I’d be very interested to know how you achieved this.

Would like to get to know that too please.
My 7100av already came with 7.5.2 if memory serves, never saw PPC 7.1.2 booting.
The installer CD is here, just in case you did not see it already. ;)

Installation with SheepShaver is possible of course, but booting not so - by default.

Now I'm trying to cast my mind back to 2017 to figure out what I knew then that I don't know now. I currently run 7.1.2 68k using Mini vMac and BII, but don't run 7.1.2 PPC.

7.1.2P I run with SheepShaver just fine. Maybe that's what I was talking about?

Still surprising. Wasn’t 7.1.2P for 68k Performas?

Power Macintoshes 6100, 7100, and 80 MHz 8100 came with System 7.1.2 installed.

Yes, it was for the 630 series of 68040 Macs (Performas and LCs and Quadras).

I'll dig into it further; I do know that in general, SheepShaver starts functioning properly at System 7.5 Update 2.0 (7.5.2). The machine reference it emulates is PCI-based, so can handle the 5300-series emulation required for 7.5.2, but not the NuBus-based Power Mac/Performa/WGS 61xx, 71xx and 81xx that came with 7.1.2.
