PearGUI Frontend

Post by BobMcGee »

Another GUI front end to configure PearPC. Requires VB6 runtime, or I could post an installer.

Um, the program looks good from your screenshots. But...

I have the VB6 runtime installed, and the program still tells me "comdlg32.ocx...is missing or invalid". I have the file "comdlg32.ocx" in my Windows\System32 directory, and in the PearGUI install directory.

Any suggestions?

Hey Bob unfortunately I can't help you with the hosting but the program looks pretty sleek and works like a charm for me.

BTW it is not Doanload or Downlaod, but Download ;)

Bug in PearGUI

Post by buchya »

Very nice program, probably the best of the kind, congratulations! Small and pretty.
But there is a bug in version 1.0.0.5 I've downloaded from FreeWebs:
pci_ide0_slave_image is set up wrong, to the same file as pci_ide0_master_image
Also there is no about box or any contact information about the author in the program or package.
Hope you can correct this small mistake soon and announce a new version on this forum.

I've quickly fixed the image name bug. Will add an about box in the next version.

Still getting that comdl32.ocx error, Bob. Any luck posting the installer?

tigerpro357 said he would host it, but I haven't got it to him yet. You said you had the files on your machine though. I wonder if they are just not registered property. Try running the attached batch file to re-register the OCXs.

getting this as well.

I have vb6 rc5 on my computer...so I don't believe I should be getting this error. I'll run the batch file and see if I can fix it that way

thanks :)

I just posted a new version that uses API calls to control windows common dialogs instead of the VB control so this should eliminate the need to the problem file.
