Athlon 64, 64 bit linux

Post by Avalant »

When I'm back in state tomorrow, I'm going to install Fedora Core 2 for AMD64 and compile PPC on that, and benchmark the install, loads times etc. as compared to the same source being compiled and run on Windows XP on the same machine. If anyone else has an A64 and would like the try the same thing, I would love to compare results. I'm hoping it will at least be moderately faster, but who knows. I'll make sure and let you all know perhaps w/ some screenies.
