I thought it would be rude to answer in English when I was spoken to in French.PPC_Digger wrote:I don't know even one word in french (ok, one word - wee).robojam wrote:As well as playing hockey, they also speak French with a very strange accent in Canada.
When I first went to Montreal I could understand everything that anyone said, but when it came to listening to me, they couldn't understand my accent at all (French taught as it is spoken in France)!

No, not at all....I live in Arizona and Mexicans do it all the time. You speak spanish they answer English. You reply in English, they tell you No Hable. They even do it to each other and in the middle of sentances. They'll talk in spanish back and forth and then all of a sudden break into english. I was doing pretty much the same thing in Costa Rica last month, especially with taxi drivers. I found it about 50/50 with French and English speakers in Montreal though.Cybermagellan wrote:No, not at all....I live in Arizona and Mexicans do it all the time. It is not a competition nor an argument - I simply want to see what the original author thinks, besides, it will help us both improve our GUIs.Cybermagellan wrote:Um, why does it matter? Yes, the GUI is just for the people who don't know the command line (personally, I prefer to use windows+r & cmd<enter> instead of 1)minimize all windows 2) activate the desktop 3) double-click the shortcut 4) find the file among the thousands on my computer 5) choose where to save it 6) click: convert :D )vu1tur wrote:I prefer command line.
Otherwise I would've made it with GUI myself

I once made a Castle out of mud and bricks.....um just as a question do you have to respond to every thread? I mean you showed up on the forum I believe after me and you already have like 100 more post than I....not like it is a competition however it's kinda annoying....it's going to get to a point where you just reply with spaces...PPC_Digger wrote:I once made a command-line add-on so you won't have to type the output file's name, only the input, since it confuses a lot of newbies.Cybermagellan wrote:I just made the front end because I was tired of people asking how to use it when the instructions were right there....
