Cannot insall MacOSX on this volume - cannot start computer

Post by tarose »

the message i got on screen is > "You cannot install Mac OS X on this volume. You cannot start up your computer using this volume." ...so i cant proceed by selecting a destination for the Mac OS X install... i used the disk utility to partition the image file (6gb) into a single partition using the extended journalled format, and named it Leopard... i even used the disk utility to verify the partition... is there something else i am supposed to do at this point to make it work?
