Can BeOS run in PearPC?

Post by SistemaRayoXP »

I'm wondering if could BeOS, a system of about 2002, which has compatibility with Intel x86 and PowerPC, could run in PearPC, as I'm not sure. Maybe late I'll try to boot it up, but meanwhile, could you share your experiences about BeOS and PearPC?

I believe the answer is "no". PPC BeOS requires some features that aren't emulated in PearPC. There is work to make it possible in QEMU, but I haven't seen any actual success in getting it fully booted yet.

x86 BeOS will run under virtualization on x64 though.

I recommend QEMU programs for this because QEMU is a software that can run all platforms. In addition, PearPC has not been touched and improved after 2011.

The encoding of QEMU will be quite easy. Both Linux operating systems can be installed in QEMU. The recommended program for PowerPC Emulator is QEMU.
