Problems with Darwin 7.01

Post by hBarcellos »

Hi All,
Trying to follow Dan's small guide @ http://www.vuquoc.com/PearPC/PearPC.txt

1) My downloaded and gziped image of darwin: darwin-701.iso.gz was not recognized as bootable without unpacking: pci_ide0_slave_image = "darwin-701.iso.gz" Does not work, only pci_ide0_slave_image = "darwin-701.iso"

2) The installation hangs in the first minute with the following messsage: Panic: We are hanging here...

Anyone else had this error ?

Best regards,

Now that'll just upset me, I think the file was corrupted anyway, that I downloaded. Still I can have another bash tomorrow.

ataxy:

Many browsers unpack gzipped files on the fly, since some
webservers support gzipping their html files before sending
them. So your image isn't really gzipped.
