So get this, I finally broke down and signed up for one of these free(insert item here).com sites. Where you sign up for a free trial of some service like netflix, blockbuster etc.. etc.. Then cancel before your free trial is up. They you get a bunch of friends to sign onto the site via your link. And then when all of that is said and done you get your item in the mail. Well as it turns out, the site I used is actually legit! Holy crap! I got an xbox 360 in the mail 2 weeks later and flipped it on craig's list! Anyway..... I'm going for the the free macbookair now and we'll see how things turn out. my link is http://www.freemacbookair.com/?referral=ah1cb5 Please use it if you are going to try the same. Either way, I'll reply back in a couple of weeks and let you guys know how it's going. BTW this is the same company/promo that I got the 360 from, so I'm feeling pretty positive. Have any of you tried out one of these sites before? Or specifically this one?

It looks like a number of you signed up via my link. While I greatly appreciate that, I was more so looking forward to hear anyone's experiences regarding promotions like this one, or others... :o

Such sites that let you sign up to offers and get referals do generally seems to be perfectly legal and genuine (although some are set up just to be scams).

I looked into these quite a lot a few years ago, but could never complete any offers and they all needed debit/credit cards which I did not have at the time. And I probably would still have trouble getting any referals.
