Others may already know how to do this, however some may not.
Creating a disk image that works with both Qemu and SheepShaver.
First use SheepShaver( GUI ) to create the image file, but don't boot and initialize it. Quit SheepShaver, and boot Qemu-system-ppc with the disk image you created with SS.
Initialize the disk with the Mac OS (9) drive setup.
Now you have an image that will work with both SS and Qemu, and it is bootable with both.
