This is really cool:

A port of PCE that runs in a browser window.

It's even got detection for handheld devices to push the right emulator to them :)

Cool! It's even pretty smooth. Would be nice if other programs were around for people to test with.

For the last several weeks, I've been working on an improved user interface for James's port of PCE.

With a little bit of help from Hampa Hug, I've added full support for disk images. There is also a new navigation component that lets you publish documentation along with disk images and hyperlink to resources that may be shared by others. I've put a lot of work into this component and I'm quite happy with the results.

I've put up a demo right here. As a bonus, it includes a custom disk image with some never previously released Mac programs that I wrote back in the 80s :)

Source code, for those of you wanting to host it yourself, you can get all the web files here:

This is a work in progress. Enjoy!

That is a fantastic project. Thanks for creating it, and thanks for sharing the link with the community here.

Please keep us in the loop. It's always a lot of fun to see something "new" show up on the forum. Can't wait to see where you take it next.

Wow... that's great! I wonder if someone at the macintosh garden could host a variant of this....

Most of the credit goes to Hampa and James, of course. I'm standing on the shoulders of giants!

Today I got a prototype IBM 5160 demo going. It looks pretty wicked! I'll post a link soon ;)

I've release a fairly major update to my webapp. A lot of clean up, plus an emulated IBM PC is added to the mix.

Thanks for your work!
Not that I missed the DOS prompt much. :)
Any plans for adding UAE (jokingly called the unplayable amiga emulator) at a later stage maybe?
