Portrait Monitor for OS9

Post by jeffsrule »

I'm trying to get SheepShaver to display in Portrait mode (vertical screen) in fullscreen mode. I've tried two things

1. I'm running in Ubuntu and I've rotated the Ubuntu screen from the terminal

Code: Select all

xrandr --output HDMI1 --rotate left
This rotates the Ubuntu screen, but when I launch SheepShaver it goes back to horizontal landscape mode.

2. I've tried changing the SheepShaver setting under Graphics/Sound to Width 512 Height 768. This produces a vertical OS9 desktop, but with black bars to right and left. It does not rotate the screen.

Any ideas on how get the SheepShaver full screen desktop to display on a portrait monitor? I'm trying to recreate how things used to look on my old Radius Pivot monitor. Is their software for OS 9 that would allow me to rotate the screen inside OS9?

Many thanks, I've Googled my brains out trying to find a solution.
