Anyone please assist how to transfer bigger file ( like 2GB ) from the unix to the actual hard drive under OS 9.0 environment.
The reason is every time when I dragged the file ( 2GB ) from UNIX to Harddrive, it said errors and could not be copied over.
The error message is
The item"file" cannot be written, because and error of type -1,309 occurred."
Transfer file from unix drive to the hard drive in OS

Re: Transfer file from unix drive to the hard drive in OS
Errors in the -130X range are HFS errors.
Assuming the volume is large enough: Is your HD disk image initialised as HFS (Mac OS Standard) or HFS+ (Mac OS Extended)? For a HFS volume the maximum file size is 2GB. For handling larger files, the volume needs to be formatted HFS+.
