I have been trying to get EmMAc running. I dedicated a whole 6.4 Gb IDE disk to DOS and installed EmMac. It does run from a floppy I prepared with HFV explorer to contain a system 7 startup image.
Running "config.exe" allows you to set several option like the screen size (640x480 doesn't run), and create a hard disk image. This image should be initialized when the system starts, however I believe the version available through the wiki can't write to disks. So the disk image isn't recognized and can't be initialized for installation.
I also tried to use a disk image created with softmac and wth HFV explorer.
Anybody with a brilliant idea to get more functionality out of it?
I downloaded EmMac about 4 or 5 years ago and had no look. I don't think I even got it to load up, but that was partly down to lack of English documentation. Maybe I will try again sometime.
On my latest effort to get in contact with mister Giuseppe Ciobbo, I got a reply!
Mr Ciobbo suggests he might update the current version some time soon to a non time-limited one, running in DOS.

Did you try writing a larger disk image to a larger storage medium?
