Best Mac (M1) emulator for MacOS/System 6
Hi, I've recently acquired a Mac SE with 6.0.8 installed and I'd like to emulate this version on my M1 Mac. What is the best emulator to use? TIA.

While it doesn't emulate the Mac SE, but the Mac Plus, for System 6.0.8 I'd recommend Mini vMac.
On an M1 Mac you should use the following beta version, since the release is still not Apple Silicon native:

Don't forget to read these notes if the app won't run. I cannot remember if I had to use the "xattr" workaround, but should you need it you'll know what to do:

There are options; the best is Mini vMac SE (which does in fact emulate the SE).
Demo build available here: http://www.gryphel.org/d/var/latest/c/m ... 06.bin.tgz
You can also download the source code and build your own, tweaked to your personal specifications, or enter a subscriber code and download a non-demo version.
Other emulators are listed on here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... a2nWC9_t2w
They are:
PCE/macplus (has an SE option) - you'll have to compile it yourself for M1
MESS/MAME (has an SE option, a bit of a configuration learning curve)
Fusion 3.0 via M1 DosBox (Or Boxer x86)
