I tried emulating OSX 10.3.0 using the screamer builds, and of course, the audio was horrible. Since the guides recommend updating iTunes and Quicktime, I want to try that next, but I have a few questions.
First, has anyone tried it before, and did it help?
Second, what do I update iTunes to? There are many versions available on Macintosh Garden, and versions 5 and 6 refused to install. Should I update OSX first?
Similarly, there are many versions of Quicktime available, and I'm not sure which one to use.

See latest versions here:

and

I assume you need to update OSX to the latest 10.3 version first.

Re: Updating iTunes and Quicktime on 10.3
I went and updated OSX to 10.3.9, Quicktime to 7.5, and iTunes to 7.7.1
It helped a little (I think), but the audio is still pretty bad. Guess I'll have to wait for a new build
