GUI settinsg menu on linux?
I have successfully compiled and run sheepshaver and gotten to the question mark floppy screen. All set up guides I can find say that when I launch SheepShaver a settings GUI will pop up. it isn't popping up. How can I get this GUI settings window to appear? I tried configuring with --enable-standalone-gui=yes in the ./configure command of the compilation process but that didn't seem to solve anything. running linux mint xfce 20.3 if that matters. what am I doing wrong?
Re: GUI settinsg menu on linux?
Hi,
This is the configuration overview I get when compiling on Linux:
SheepShaver configuration summary:
SDL support ...................... : video audio
SDL major-version ................ : 2
BINCUE support ................... : yes
LIBVHD support ................... : no
FBDev DGA support ................ : no
XFree86 DGA support .............. : no
XFree86 VidMode support .......... : no
Using PowerPC emulator ........... : yes
Enable JIT compiler .............. : yes
Enable video on SEGV signals ..... : no
ESD sound support ................ : no
GTK user interface ............... : gtk2
mon debugger support ............. : no
Addressing mode .................. : real
Bad memory access recovery type .. : siginfo
Notice the GTK user interface configuration. To get that configuration, you need to have the GTK2 development packages installed on your system.
Of course SheepShaver will run without it, but you would then have to edit the .sheepshaver_prefs file manually.
Best,
