Basilisk II won't launch for me on Mojave. Bounces in the Dock twice and vanishes.
I have an Old World 4MB ROM image and the Disk Tools 8 floppy image in the same folder as the application.
This is the SDL2 port, 10 August 2020, 64-bit, notarized build from BasiliskII builds for Mac OS X in this forum.
Halp!

Re: Basilisk II won't launch
Wrong rom file. The old world rom file will work with SheepShaver PPC emulator.
Look for a Quadra 650 or Performa 1MB rom file.

Re: Basilisk II won't launch
Tried that after posting. Doesn't launch with a Quadra 650 rom either. :/

Did you use the GUI to enter the path to the rom file?
Re: Basilisk II won't launch
There is no GUI. The app never launches at all.

Re: Basilisk II won't launch
Follow our setup manual: https://www.emaculation.com/doku.php/ba ... _osx_setup
As described in the manual, you will need two applications, BasiliskII itself and the BasiliskIIGUI application. You will need to set up BasiliskII in the GUI before launching BasiliskII itself.
The older 32-bit BasiliskIIGUI application that is bundled with older BasiliskII downloads will still work in Mojave.
In the post from where you probably downloaded BasiliskII is also this link to the topic where you can find the new beta Basilisk II GUI application: https://www.emaculation.com/forum/viewt ... =6&t=10454
Read the notes about limitation of this beta!
Example images in the setup manual are from the old BasiliskIIGUI. The new beta GUI looks a little different, but the settings are the same.

Re: Basilisk II won't launch
I'm having the same issue. I tried to launch the GUI and it just bounces twice in the dock and disappears. No windows open or anything else. I have the following files in my folder:
1993-02 - F1ACAD13 - Quadra, Centris 610,650,800.ROM
Basilisk II GUI 16.34.51.app
BasiliskII.app
DiskTools_MacOS8.image
OS753InstallerParts.dsk
Any help would be appreciated as I can't get the GUI to launch. I'm running Mac Catalina 10.15.7.
Thanks!

Re: Basilisk II won't launch
We apparently missed this question. The topic is about BasiliskII not launching, but your question is about BasiliskII GUI not launching. Also, the question is more than a year old, so maybe you solved the issue by now. I do not know which GUI application you use, but the current BasiliskII GUI 0.18 beta should run in Catalina: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=10454
Not sure your ROM will work with BasiliskII. If not, try the ROM files suggested in our BasiliskII setup guide.
