but to my surprise when i try and start sarfari, it says no server found. even though the settings say i an connected to the internet. i am on macOS 10.13 and just wan to enjoy macOS without having to buy a overpriced mac with sub par hardware

Re: safari server not found
We'll need more information to help out here.
From what I've read so far, it seems this is the situation:
1. Your host OS is macOS 10.13
2. You are running PearPC (what build?) with networking enabled.
3. You have installed the RealTek 8139 driver.
4. When launching Safari.app in the guest environment, you get a "No Server Found" error.
But then you state that you are attempting to run OS X without buying a Mac.
So...
What is your host hardware?
What is your host OS?
What OS are you trying to run in PearPC?
What does your configuration file look like?
What version of Safari are you attempting to use?
That last one is the biggest issue. If you're attempting to run a 10.0-10.8 version of Safari, the HTTPS protocol is incompatible with most modern web servers. You'll have much better luck on 10.4 and 10.5 using TenFourFox, or Arctic Fox on 10.6-10.8. Before 10.4... best bet is Classilla inside the Classic environment.

Re: safari server not found
OK, a few things to note then...
First, you are enabling the 3c90x NIC, but installing the rtl8139 driver.
Second, Safari in 10.3 won't work with any modern HTTPS website, as I stated before. I don't believe TenFourFox will work either. This means you'll have to run Classilla in Classic.
Alternatively, you can switch from PearPC to QEMU-PPC and run 10.4 instead of 10.3, or you can use VirtualBox or VMWare and install a more modern macOS version in Hackintosh mode.

Re: safari server not found

Re: safari server not found
Hi,
To network pearpc, you also need to install the openvpn tap device and bridge it / share it with your default network device.
This all is hit and miss.
I would suggest setting up Qemu to run Mac OS X 10.4. It might be a bit slower, but it is stable and supports networking out of the box.
