My apology for asking a basic question, but I'm new to QEMU and I'm unable to find any inform about this after searching everything.
What's the difference between these 4 emulators?
qemu-system-ppc.exe
qemu-system-ppc64.exe
qemu-system-ppcw.exe
qemu-system-ppc64w.exe
I assumed it's PowerPC 32 bit and 64 bit?
What about the "w" ones?
ppc vs ppc64 vs ppcw vs ppc64w

Re: ppc vs ppc64 vs ppcw vs ppc64w
Hi,
Correct: ppc64 emulates 64 bit ppc processors and supports different machines compared to the ppc version that supports 32 bit machines.
Executables with the "w" should not bring up a console window, but they do

Re: ppc vs ppc64 vs ppcw vs ppc64w
And just to clarify, ppc64 doesn't currently include the G5 as far as I know -- so when we talk about QEMU in these forums, we're specifically talking about qemu-system-ppc.
Re: ppc vs ppc64 vs ppcw vs ppc64w
But G3 and G4 are both 32bit processors right? If they don’t emulate G5, which is a 64bit processor, what is PPC64 emulating?

I'll close this thread as we are discussing to same in another one.
