Help with Filemaker Pro file conversion

Post by brettz9 »

Hi,

I'm a bit disinclined to do go through the hoops of building SheepShaver, so am wondering that if you don't currently have binaries for Mac OSX users to make the job simpler, I'd even be willing to make a donation if someone could handle a file conversion for me.

I have an old FileMaker Pro 5 file.

According to https://support.claris.com/s/article/Co ... uage=en_US ...

...I need to open the file with FileMaker Pro 11 to convert it to the 11 format (so that I can then open it with the current version, 12).

Although I am able to download FileMaker Pro 11 at http://fmdl.filemaker.com/TBUB/eleven/f ... 4.401b.dmg , I no longer have Mac OS Classic to run it with so that I can save as a version 11 file.

So if anyone could help me save this FMP 5 file as a FMP 11 file, I'd be most grateful.

Thanks!
Brett

According to the page that you linked to FileMaker Pro 11 runs in OS X (=macOS), not SheepShaver. You don't need Classic to run it. It installs normally on my Big Sur system.

Hi,
I converted your file to quram.fp7 and quram.fmp12. Not allowed to upload directly to this wiki, so you'll need to download it from my Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ts35Bo ... sp=sharing
Enjoy.
