G'day all.
SO, I was playing with mac os x 10.3 panther in QEMU, and realised I could emulate 10.5. Excitedly, I got a disk image, but I had also created a 20GB .img file with qemu-img
hoping it was recognisable. Problem is, it didn't. And it's because It wasn't formatted to be used with Mac OS.
Is there any way to make a Mac OS X formatted disk image that's recognisable with QEMU? Any help is appreciated.
Sincerely,

Hi,
Did you use DiskUtility to partition that new disk? Sometimes a disk image is not immediately recognised by the installer.
It might require a restart.
If that does not help, I prepared a 20Gb disk in Leopard. You can download it here:
https://surfdrive.surf.nl/files/index.p ... p/download
Note that this is not an img file but a qcow2 file. This has the benefit of only taking up that much space on your host as there is data on the image file.
Add it like this: -drive file=emptydisk20Gb.qcow2,format=qcow2,media=disk
Best,

Perfect, works flawlessly, considering the fact that I don't even own a mac, nor can I get Disk Utility to find my disk.
Many thanks!
