emulation options

Post by afro »

I have tried Sheepshaver and Basilisk II on my host system Yosemite X 10.10 to run the game I want: Barrack.

The game I wanted to play Barrack does not work at all on Sheepshaver and works for very short time before freezing on Basilisk II.
My questions are as follows:

1) I have another computer with a Windows 7 host system. If I tried to do a Sheepshaver or Basilisk II on there, is it possible that the Barrack game will work there, though it does not work on my Yosemite?

2) If I tried a different download file TYPE for the Barrack game, say a BIN file instead of the SIT file that I used so far, could that make the game run (properly)?

3) Could I use another emulator all together and could that make Barrack run? If so, which emulator should I try? Are there emulators that definitely would not work?? How do I know?

Barrack should run the same on any host system using BII or SS.

You could also try it on Mini vMac II.

Also, I may be able to wedge it into the MACE framework so it'll run on OS X / macOS as a native app.
